Yame Traditional Authentic Gyokuro

[Itadaki] is a rare, limited-release Yame Dentou Hon Gyokuro, crafted for those who appreciate the deep umami, refined sweetness, and elegant aroma that define Japan’s finest shaded green teas.

Grown in Yame, Fukuoka, one of Japan’s most respected regions for premium gyokuro, this tea offers a smooth and concentrated cup with a rich savory depth, a gentle natural sweetness, and a long, graceful finish.

Due to the extremely limited availability of authentic Yame Dentou Hon Gyokuro, this product is currently available in 50g only. The 100g size is not available at this time.

Tasting Profile

  • Flavor: Deep umami, refined sweetness, gentle vegetal notes
  • Aroma: Elegant, fresh, and softly sweet
  • Texture: Smooth, mellow, and full-bodied
  • Finish: Long, clean, and savory

Product Details

  • Tea Type: Yame Dentou Hon Gyokuro
  • Origin: Yame, Fukuoka, Japan
  • Net Weight: 50g
  • Package Size: 50g only
  • Availability: Limited quantity

Recommended Brewing Method

To enjoy the full sweetness and umami of this gyokuro, we recommend brewing it slowly with lower-temperature water.

  • Tea Leaves: 5g
  • Water: 60ml
  • Water Temperature: 50–60°C / 122–140°F
  • Steeping Time: 90–120 seconds

For the second infusion, use slightly hotter water and a shorter steeping time. This allows the tea to reveal a brighter aroma while preserving its elegant umami.

How to Enjoy

This gyokuro is best enjoyed slowly, in small cups, much like a fine wine. Its concentrated flavor makes it ideal for quiet moments, tea tastings, or as a thoughtful gift for someone who appreciates rare Japanese tea.

Storage

After opening, reseal the package carefully and store it in a cool, dark place away from heat, humidity, light, and strong odors. For best quality, enjoy soon after opening.

Note: Because this is a very limited tea, availability may change without notice. Once sold out, restocking may not be immediate.
