Expect fresh green-tea aroma, umami, natural sweetness and a refreshing touch of astringency. Brewing temperature and strength let you find your preferred balance.

This is a suggested starting point. Follow any directions on your package when they differ, and adjust the next brew to your taste.
- Warm your teapot or cup, then discard the warming water.
- Add the measured leaves and water cooled to the suggested temperature.
- Steep gently, then strain and drain the pot completely.
For a second infusion, try slightly hotter water and a shorter steep, then adjust to taste. For a softer cup, use cooler water; for more body, try a little more leaf.
