A starting point for brewing

This is a suggested starting point. Follow any directions on your package when they differ, and adjust the next brew to your taste.

Use a kyusu or a roomy fine-mesh infuser. Steep gently, then strain and drain completely. Try a shorter second infusion with slightly hotter water. Adjust one variable at a time.
